Open a reading check

Pick a passage, then choose Whole class or Selected pupils. If a student already read that passage set, a note says so; you can still include them, and their new reading becomes their latest. Set how many days the check stays open and a time limit per student: once someone starts, they keep the full time even if they start moments before the window closes. Closing the check yourself stops anyone new from joining and discards any reading still unsent, so only close it once you mean to stop. Students reading at home are not supervised, so keep at-home and in-class readings apart when you compare them.
